BERLIN – East Side Gallery (Berlin Wall)

What used to be the Berlin Wall is now the longest open-air gallery in the world. After its fall in 1989, the Berlin Wall was transformed into an undeniable place of Street Art. Nowadays, a piece of the 1.3-km-long wall welcomes artists from all over the world to express pacifist messages.

BERLIN – Raw Tempel

Located in the district of Friedrichshain, in the heart of Berlin, in the old eastern part of the city, the RAW-Tempel is a large industrial desert entirely occupied by Urban Art. Since the fall of the Berlin Wall, Urban Art has taken possession of the premises to revive these warehouses of the former railway maintenance workshops of “RAW Franz Stenzer”. The RAW Tempel has become the mecca of Berlin’s alternative culture, with graffiti, climbing walls, skate parks, bars, restaurants …

BERLIN – MauerPark

During the times of the Berlin Wall, The MauerPark was the boundary between the old districts of Prenzlauer Berg and Wedding. This place with strong historical significance is today a place of life, a symbol of reconversion and urban revitalization. After the reunification, the MauerPark has become a green space, a place of relaxation, meeting and freedom of expression where many musicians meet. This is how Urban Art has naturally found its place.

The Mitte district is the historic heart of Berlin, home to the city’s main sights. Rosenthaler Straße is an emblematic place of urban culture. There are many works by local and international artists. This small courtyard-shaped street offers no less than one hundred graffiti, drawings, sculptures, stencils, etc.

BERLIN – Kreuzberg

Kreuzberg is a Berlin district located in the district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg formed in 2001 during the administrative reform of Berlin. Formerly one of the twelve districts of West Berlin, the very popular district of Kreuzberg unveils a lot of Street Art. Tags, wall murals and graffiti are present on almost every street corner. Some are very well known. Most of them carry a message and denounce war, violence, greed, pollution, manipulation or modern slavery.
