Atenor is making a substantial contribution to the necessary transition of cities to carbon neutrality.
All projects in development aim for alignment with the European taxonomy, and for office projects, minimum BREEAM Excellent and WELL Gold certifications
To achieve the targets set by Europe, namely carbon neutrality by 2050, this rate would have to be at least doubled. The challenge is therefore enormous.
Our 5 ‘environmental contribution’ targets
Reduce emissions
Our new projects aim to consume 10% less energy than the Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) standard set by the local authorities. For renovations, the aim is to reduce the building’s energy consumption by at least 30%. More specifically, the aim is also to move away from carbon-based energy sources for heating, cooling, ventilation and lighting in buildings by 2030.
Target : 100% of projects with energy consumption at least 10% below the Nearly Zero Energy Building standard by 2024
Use renewable energies
Preference for local and renewable energy sources. Our aim is to include renewable energy in all our projects by 2025.Geothermal energy, heat pumps, photovoltaic panels and all the innovations in energy production and storage are helping to move in this direction.
Target : include renewable energy production in 100% of projects by 2025.
Stimulate circularity and renovation
To make the most of existing, local, recycled and reusable materials, we integrate the principles of circularity into the design of the building.
What’s more, we are convinced that buyers will also be able to optimise the residual value of their property in the future if it can be easily converted or dismantled.
Target : optimise lifecycle analysis for 100% of projects by 2024
Support soft mobility
Location has always been a key criterion in the choice of our projects. They must be close to train stations, public transport and business centres.All projects are less than 10 minutes’ walk from public transport.The projects also contribute to the creation of new infrastructure by incorporating cycle paths and pedestrian access.
Finally, lockers, showers, special parking areas and charging stations for electric bicycles are an integral part of every new construction or renovation.
Target: 100% of projects connected to public transport by 2023
Promote innovation
The answer to environmental challenges inevitably lies in innovation. Since a building is designed to last over time, and since the climate is bound to change, we need to build structures that take these factors into account and offer more sustainable solutions for occupants. Patios, shaded areas, parametric façades with angles and fins to protect against the sun, as well as drainage basins to protect against the risk of flooding, etc. Together with Archilab and its network of partners, we are constantly looking for innovations to offer resilient buildings in line with the European objective of adapting to climate change.
